A Slightly Late Arrival…

If you could see all the drafts that have been started (and abandoned) for this week’s newsletter! It’s been one of those weeks, with a bit of writer’s block, a bit of uncertainty about what feels most useful to share right now. Which explains why I’m arriving in your a little later in the week than usual.

I’ve been going back and forth, asking myself what feels relevant and most helpful for you right now. As some of you know, I’ve been developing a new artist conversation series, following on from Double Shift — the artist conversation series exploring the realities of working more than one job as an artist. I’m really excited about how this new project is taking shape. It will have a new name, a new format, and (I hope) an even deeper resonance. All being well, it will launch next month. In the meantime, I want to continue articulating and supporting you through weekly reflections and guidance and fortnightly listings of arts opportunities, and I would love your input!

Help me decide what to write about next. Here are the options:

  • Artists Copying Other Artists’ Work

  • The Boring But Essential Side of Being an Artist

  • Can You Separate the Art from the Artist?

  • Etiquette for Getting to Know Institutions, Curators and Collectors

  • How to Price Your Artwork Fairly

Click here to cast your vote anonymously, and by 10pm (GMT) on Saturday 21st February. The topic with the most votes will be ARTiculated and sent out on Monday 23rd February.

As always, thank you for being here. Until next time.
